About Wendy

Wendy J. Brodie, HAAC, Executive Chef

Celebrated artist/chef, Wendy Brodie, is known for her creative style with food preparation and table décor. She has been described as an artist whose medium is food.

Born in San Francisco, Wendy spent her childhood years in Palo Alto with where her creative parents encouraged and influenced her.

A graduate of the California Culinary Academy of San Francisco, Brodie has held executive positions at prestigious world-class resorts. Included in this list are The Preserve at Rancho San Carlos, Stonepine Inn and Gardiner’s Tennis Ranch.

Wendy was also selected to attend Madeleine Kaman’s graduate program at the School for American Chefs at the Beringer Wine Estates. She was inducted as an honorary member of Chefs of the American Culinary Federation and was awarded Chef of the Year of the Monterey Peninsula. In 2011, Wendy was inducted as one of the first few female chefs into the Disciples of d’Auguste Escoffier, a prestigious international organization.

Brodie has written food columns, lectured, and demonstrated cooking and tabletop designs at such venues as Filoli Center, Macys, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus. She has been a guest chef, developing menus to represent California Cuisine at the Jockey Club in Hong Kong and the Crystal Cruise line. Wendy has cooked for, and with celebrity chefs Julia Child, Jacques Pepin, Roy Yamaguchi, Paul Pruhomme and Martha Stewart.

Wendy hosted her own weekly television show “Art of Food TV”, that was broadcast daily on local cable and viewed weekly on Public Television in both the United States and Canada.

Wendy is affiliated with The Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs, Les Tocques Blanches, Knights of the Vine, American Institute of Wine and Food, International Wine and Food Society and American Culinary Federation. In addition, she has been an officer and board member for several of these organizations.

Recently Brodie has been honored as an award-winning member of the Reign World Entertainment team in the 2022/23 World Food Championship Competition.

Brodie currently operates the Art of Food TV, focusing on cooking classes and Professional Chef Services/Catering.
